I’m Martin, a front end developer who loves to create efficient and adaptable solutions, using the latest front end technology. In 2011, I graduated with a B.Sc. in Informatics from the Lund School of Economics and Management, Sweden. Since then I’ve been in working with several different web projects, both in Sweden and Australia. In 2014 I passed the final exam to become a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer in Web Applications.
As a .NET Software Developer my primary tasks are mainly focused on front end development in the Microsoft .NET framework, using C# and ASP.NET. I've been involved in both the process of working with fresh new projects as well as performing software maintenance of legacy systems. Most projects I've been working with has been utilizing agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, and I've been part of various teams consisting of two to twenty members. My role in the projects has mostly been focused on front end development, but I've also got experience with back end development and database management. I've been working with a variety of clients, ranging from small local business to large international companies. I have gained much valuable industry experience in the insurance industry as well as the security industry, through working with some of the leading international companies in their respective fields.
I worked with UAT and QA testing for a large Swedish insurance company. The role included tasks such as writing test scripts, performing and evaluating manual tests and writing documentation. The testing utilized both HP Quality Center and Microsoft TFS.
I was running my own business, called Martin Ohlson Interactive Design (moid.se), which specialized in web design and web programming, using Adobe Flash, PHP and MySQL. As a sole trader I got to practice my organizational and customer relations skills as well as my technical knowledge in programming and web development.
